Wine pyramid scheme? Customers sue Berkeley business over failure to deliver wine

At least 10 people have sued Premier Cru over the last year, claiming they paid more than $5 million for expensive bottles of wine, only to receive a small fraction of the vino, as well as a litany of excuses and failures to refund the money. The transactions involve “wine futures” or expensive vintages ordered before they are bottled at cheap prices with the understanding the customer must wait months or years for the wine.
